Renewables - Grants Information
Government grants are currently available for all of the systems we supply and install. There are two government agencies responsible for administering the grant applications, the Energy Savings Trust (EST) and Clearskies. The EST deals exclusively with PV systems, whilst Clearskies processes the grants for Solar Hot Water, Wind Turbine and Ground Source Heat Pump systems. Grants are not available for DIY systems.
As an accredited installer for both agencies we appreciate that completing the grant forms correctly can cause applicants some concern, so we offer a free grant application support service to all our customers.
Non-profit community organisations can receive up to £100,000 for grants.
For household grants, the amount of grant is dependent upon the technology installed:
- SHW: £400 regardless of system size.
- Wind Turbine: £1000 per kW installed up to a maximum of £2500. Minimum size of 0.5 kW.
- GSHP: £1200 regardless of system size.
